This video demonstrates CYSP I in action. Nicolas Schöffer's CYSP I is commonly thought to be the first cybernetic sculpture in history. Photoelectric cells and and a microphone built into CYSP's plates capture environmental variations in color and light and sound intensity, causing the sculpture to react physically and occasioning the performance interaction between human and machine.
